Jakarta-Bandung is a proposed high- speed rail project in Indonesia, connecting the capital city of Jakarta to the textile hub of Bandung. As a strategic partner of China Railway Construction Corp (CRCC), HUAN YU has supplied the segment shapes for the box girders. The box girder is located near the Bandung end. The complicating characteristics of the project lies on: the erection gradient was 2.97%, and the altitude difference between the front and back fulcrums reaches 97 centimeters. Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway

As Indonesia’s and Southeast Asia’s first high-speed rail , the project links the country’s largest cities of Jakarta and Bandung, covering a distance approaching 142.3 kilometers. The rail line is expected to start operating in June 2023. 71.63km of the track is at the ground level, 53.54 km is elevated, and 15.63 km is underground. The train will be able to travel at up to 350 km per hour, reducing the traveling time from 3 hours to 40 minutes. The construction of the Jakarta-Bandung HSR hit the milestone with the erection of the continuous cross-highway box girder with the largest span and high complexity was completed on March 31, 2022.

The project is famous not only because it is under the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), but also for its technical achievement in securing the girders’ high accuracy: the erection gradient was 2.97%, and the altitude difference between the front and back fulcrums reaches 97 centimeters.

HUAN YU has been providing steel formworks for box girders for No.1 and No. 2 casting yard. Our formworks are operated with less labor involvements and higher efficiency and accuracy. Our segment shapes can be operated by hydraulic through remote control for removal of the formworks.
