Mumbai-Ahmedabad HSR Corridor

HUAN YU’s segments shapes has been serving Larson & Toubro Ltd (L & T). since the very beginning of project in 2019 up to dates. Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail corridor is the first proposed Bullet Train project in India. Out of 352 km, L & T is executing 325 km length, which was separated in two packages. In order to expedite the construction of viaducts, NHSRCL is adopting a full span launching method by deploying 40 meters span box girder. Contributing to the project’s construction cycle time and technological innovation, HUAN YU has been the awarded supplier for hydraulic operated prefabricated moulds for the 40 meters full span box girder, moulds for segmental girders and moulds for the piers.

It is the heaviest PSC (pre-stressed concrete) box girder in the construction industry of India: the 40 meters full span box girder weighs about 970 million tons, involving 390 cubic meters of of concretes and 42 tons of steel was cast in a single piece without any construction joint. In addition of the 40 meters full span girders, there are span girders of 30 and 35 meters as well. Our moulds produces girders of high level precision that meets up all technical procedure requirement.

The very first 40 meters full span girder was placed between the Pier P11 and P12 of the high-speed corridor. The height of the piers is 13.4 meters from the ground level.
